Questions and answers
- What is CSMC Pick'em?
- A free CS2 prediction game by CSMarketCap. You call the winner of tier-one matches, and optionally the exact map score, before each match starts. Right calls earn points on a season ladder, and the top 10 of each season win CS2 skins.
- How do I score points?
- A right winner earns +10. The exact map score adds +15 when the winner is also right. If the team you picked had under 35% of the crowd at lock and won, you get a +5 underdog bonus. That is up to +30 per match. A wrong or missing call scores 0; there are no negative points.
- When do calls lock?
- Each match locks at the first pistol round of map 1. You can change your call until then. The crowd split freezes at lock, which decides the underdog bonus.
- Which matches count?
- Only matches from tier-one CS2 events count. New matches appear automatically as event schedules are published, and points land within about 10 minutes of the final map.
- What happens with forfeits and corrections?
- Forfeits, walkovers and cancelled matches are void, so nobody gets points. If the format changes, the winner still counts and the exact-score part is void. If an organizer corrects a result, points are settled again.
- What can I win?
- The top 10 on the season ladder win CS2 skins, sent by Steam trade offer within 7 days of the winners being announced. You need a valid Steam trade link, Steam Guard on for at least 7 days and no trade ban. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash.
- How are ties broken?
- Season ties go to the player with more exact scores, then to whoever locked their final pick earlier.
- How does the Major pick'em work?
- During a CS2 Major the season pauses and the Major gets its own ladder and prizes. In each Swiss stage you pick two 3–0 teams (+30 each), six teams that advance (+15 each) and two 0–3 teams (+30 each), up to 210 per stage. In the Playoffs you pick quarterfinal winners (+20 each), semifinal winners (+40 each) and the champion (+80).
- Is it free?
- Yes. There are no deposits or purchases. You sign in with Steam, and one Steam account per person is allowed; alternate accounts and automated picks are disqualified.
